Jam, Marmalade & Canned Fruit


 Learn all the basics of sweet preserving and take home the classics.

This is our sweetest workshop and the one to teach you how to transform fresh seasonal fruit into kitchen staples and decadent treats. Learn all of the fundamentals of sweet preserving from 'setting point' to storage. Understand how pectin and acidity effect jams and bottled fruits and combine flavours. Traditional and modern methods will be discussed and there will be plenty of tastings! So, join us for some sweet talk and go home with all kinds of treats for the pantry.  

Learn to make and go home with:

  • A fruit jam that captures the flavour of the season
  • A marmalade with the perfect balance of bitter and sweet
  • Seasonal bottled fruit in a light syrup

At the end of class enjoy a sweet Cornersmith plate with plenty of jam and cheese, plus our famous house made tea.
