For centuries the craft of preserving kept cupboards and bellies full when there was little fresh food around. Today we continue to preserve seasonal produce to eat sustainably and reduce food waste, plus it’s really delicious! In this hands-on live zoom workshop you will learn the basics of pickling and making chutney.
From sterilising to storage and vinegar to spices, Alex will teach you everything you need to know about preserving safely. This is a great class to begin your preserving adventures with lots of opportunity to ask questions and discuss interesting flavour combinations.

A batch of pear, lemon and rosemary chutney
1 jar of mixed pickles that can be interchanged with your favourite vegetables
